Our storyFounder, Kaitlyn Lamb was introduced to composting when when she was in year 6 at school. Her family had moved house there was a pallet composting system at their new home.
“We didn’t know what we were doing. We just chucked in our food scraps and garden ‘waste’”- Kaitlyn. Together with her twin sister Jess, they decided to start a composting system at their high school in Rotorua. Over the years this passion for composting and helping people has evolved organically into 'Kai Compost'. |
We're really proud of our community. Together we are stopping food and garden ‘waste’ from going to landfills, and diverting them to be recycled into compost and worm farms, to heal the soil and grow kai.
